Tuesday 28th March

Well - survived the clocks going forward again. And of course, America is still a week behind us! This is positively the silliest thing and now they are talking about possibly going to double summer time - in other words the coocks would stay where they are now in October and go forward another hour in March next year - bringing us to the same time as the rest of Europe. Long live GMT!

The poor daffodil finally made it out and blossomed and the trees are covered in pretty little white flowers. But it is still coolish (more coolish than is comfortable). But we've had a bit of rain - only a bit - hosepipe bans still in force from April 3.

Today - civil servants are on strike - so that they (unlike the rest of us) will be able to retire at 60 (8 years ahead of the rest of the population). France on strike - who's next.

Bit of a rant today - but what the hell.

Have a great week.

My Gorgeous Friend - Daniella

Out for supper in Covent Garden. What fun to see Dani again after about 3 years and doesn't she just look gorgeous!

Fortunately for me, Dani has managed to gain a day in London and we will be off to do a couple of touristy type things tomorrow - London Eye included.

It should be a completely fun, girly day and something to really look forward to. More photo's to follow from tomorrow.

For those who haven't seen V for Vendetta - I found it enjoyable - and true to the style of graphic novel. I went with no expectations or knowledge of the novel an thoroughly enjoyed it.

Enough of my ramblings for now. More news soon and a review of Romeo and Juliet to follow.

A busy two weeks

Hello all - despite having made a note in my pda to update my blog - last week I was stuck in deepest, darkest Kettering building retail display stands for O2 and Samsung - I have never been so cold. It was freezing - snow, ice and we were doing this all in a draughty old corrugated iron barn. An experience to be missed, I can assure you.

Spend the balance of that week recovering and nursing my poor sore hands back to health!

My friend Sam arrived from SA this week for a visit - and we are off to see The Producers tomorrow evening. Full review to follow.

I am so looking forward to seeing her - we've not seen each other for 2 years so it is going to be great to catch up. A bit of window (or not so window) shopping, a relaxed early dinner and theatre - what glee.

Sunday - Birthday lunch with Jen and Aubs. Taking Charlie with me - as Gordon has gone off to SA and she is on her own. So a busy weekend ahead.

Get a week off and then Dani arrives from Israel and the following week Charles is here from the US - and there I was thinking my life was all calm and boring - LOL.

Time to crack on with work. I have to take my new phone back (the on/off button refuses to work) so that will be a fun adventure. BTW - the new Nokia N70 is fun (when it works).

Have a wonderful weekend and catch up soon with the review.
